Awesome, but the transparency should be reduced. It’s distracting.

The plasma binary has been altered heavily, stripping some of the unlikely-to-use features which results in greater responsiveness and smaller hard-drive footprint. KWin has also been highly modified, it seems.

Transparency should not be used on information-bearing surfaces. Hopefully the misuse and overuse of transparency is one of the things that will change.

Impressive.

My first thoughts after having a look on the screenshots were that this will be more impractical then a regular UI. Also in comparison to the iPhone UI I thought this will be not very sucessful.

However, after seeing this in motion and living color I am convinced, that this is a most outstanding UI and it will increase the user experience quite massively. I just fell in love with this.

So continue your open work, and let the community know about your progress. :)

Now we see the benefits of a choice made almost 18 months ago: an easily changeable and flexible desktop shell.
