Games to Play on Your Netbook: Counter-Strike 1.6

This is the very first episode of an upcoming series of games that can run on almost any netbook out there! This episode will show you the performance of Counter-Strike 1.6 on an HP Mini 110-3000.Here are the specs: OS: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP3 (had Windows 7 Starter) CPU: Intel Atom N450, 1.6 GHz, 512 KBytes L2 Cache RAM: 1024 MB DDR3 Graphics: 384MB Intel GMA 3150 HDD: 5400RPM 160 GB HDD This game actually runs super-fine on this netbook. With an average of 30-40 FPS on de_dust2 map, the game actually runs good on a multiplayer server. Music: Netsky feat. @NetbookGames GMA booster doesnt make much of a difference to the 950, i have been a netbook gamer for over a year and it havent proven to be useful. However, itel 950 users can benefit from a thing called modded drivers. Its basicly a driver wich makes the 945 motherboard think its infact its a 965, so it gives the 945 some of the software advantages of the 965. This makes games like Cs:s playable on the 945. Btw, can i play with you sometime? I´d be really fun!

@fabulo19 I did a mistake in the video: the game would get 45 FPS in best moments in multiplayer, in singleplayer it has the same performance as yours, plus you can oveclock your 950 with GMABooster, while I can’t.

Nice video, but im a bit confused. I have a hp mini 110 with the older intel 950 graphics card, but still it runs at a constant 45-60fps, while yours is running at around 40. The 3150 is supposed to be better that the 950, so i think its a bit weird.

@NetbookGames interesting but i havent more this, i only told you what i played in these computer online…

Yup the bios from this machine limit the Vram to 128mb :( , for this game 1GB is great.

@ibm5155 plus, there is a program called GMABooster that can overclock GMA 900 and 950. Google it.

@ibm5155 you do have more RAM than I do, and as far as I know, netbooks graphics cards are shared so, you should have more than 128 MB, if not than still the ammount of RAM should at least equalise the performance with the one in the video.
