And the upgrade is finished. You left a few screw removals out of your video but thats fine once you start pulling the thing apart you eventually notice that the screw by the ram under the ram door needs to be removed and also when removing the harddrive you must also remove the screw bolting the drive down which i didnt think to look for.

All in all im already installing win7 into my 120GB OCZ vertex 2 SSD and awaiting to see the results. Thanks for the video.

I have the 1001HA version. I found replacing RAM simple and I had taken the back off and had a sneaky suspicion the keyboard had to come off and this video helped prove my theory. I think they all come 160GB as standard. Is the 250GB the best upgrade….I guess 500GB and 1TB HDD’s are just too big for these small netbooks?

Not bothered to be fair, cause I have an external 2TB HDD =)

@OSGUIShow I really cant wait. I’ve got an SSD in my desktop and have never looked back I’ve got a big dirty NAS that holds all my long term storage so 60gb’s is more than enough.

You ‘might’ want to disconnect the battery ‘before’ you start pulling components out and touching the curcuit boards. Unless you wanna buy a new netbook, of course. ^^
