Why not just get a tablet laptop? The eInk I’m sure has an additional layer on top to recognize input, making the text blurier, and making reading on this harder. I really don’t see the point of this where tablets are around. I can put my Sony reader in my back pocket. Not this. So it won’t beat dedicated readers.
@hoelk: would be nice if the keyboard could be set that it automatically changes with angle you´re holding the device.
two things that might be interesting: with a following device to this it should be able to detach one side from the other – and there should also be a built in smartphone which
can be detached when needed. an all-in-one
device (also photo- and videocam and projector) would be nice.
I’m impressed. Too bad I already bought a Kindle 2.
cann the on-screen keyboard only be used with the pen or do fingers also work? and is it possible to make it full-screen?
Looks awesome!
The processor is a Marvell Armada PXA168
Battery Life is 16 Hours with E-Ink only
6 Hours with LCD
Will pay extra if “Amy” comes with the device. As an aside, Entourage headquarters is right down the street from me.
the edge is actually pretty impressive compared to what is out right now, but when it is released in february it could be a whole new ball game, what with smart books and faster arm cpus, and perhaps slate format smartbooks or the apple tablet
