It can’t be as damaged as that if she smashes it in the ground!
I’ve been trying to save up for a laptop for years. I still can’t afford one when there are so many other expenses to take care of. I don’t see why the mom couldn’t have held onto the laptop and then given it back later after her son did his chores or whatever he was supposed to do.
