And what if I have a real TV? they don’t mention that. They expect everyone to be hung like a tic-tac [people who waste money on digital TVs].

why the fuck do they make this shit so fucking complicated?! You need all kinds of crazy cables, converters, etc. for fuck sakes, all laptops and desktops should have a coaxial jack, or RCA jacks on them.

All i want to do is hook my laptop to my TV, but i guess that’s too much to ask for. You gotta jump through hoops, buy expensive cables and adapters, etc.

fuck technology up the fucking ass. The only reason they make shit so fucking complicated is to make fucking money.

@abuser1231 E Yeah, you do, watch the video though again. There is a bit about the dual phono cables and plugging into the headphone jack on your laptop.

so you have to use a vga cable AND a hdmi cable AND an S-video cable? that REALLY doesnt sound right. can anybody please verify for me that you do indeed need all three of those cables.

@RackyBashOne
Your laptop doesn’t output CMYK. No laptop or PC does. Printers do, on the other hand ;)

Third, S-Video cables only have 4 pins. NOT SEVEN! If the cable itself has more than 4, then it’s not an S-Video cable. The reason the video out on his computer has more than 4, is because the other pins are used for different adaptors.

Forth, he’s making it sound like S-Video is only on HDTVs. This is not true. S-Video does not even offer HD.

Finally, he mentions wireless as a possibility, but then talks about a scan converter.

Do they even check these videos, before posting them?

This video is wrong, in a few areas.

First of all, you DO NOT NEED a digital television for this. In fact, all but one of the connection methods he is explaining, is actually digital. Composite, S-Video, Component, and VGA are all ANALOG.

Second, many ANALOG TVs also have an S-Video port. That connector has been around since SVHS was introduced, in the 1980s.
